Coworking spaces and collaborative practices

Collaborative practices underlie the creation of innovation yet how and when these emerge is not well understood, particularly given presence flexible open workspaces. Based on seven case studies entrepreneurial Tech/FinTech firms in London, we explore collaborative spaces lead to practices, they do. Our findings suggest enabling inhibiting role interstitial (e.g. informality spatiality) identify catalysts emergence a coworking space. A theoretical critical contextualisation advances our understanding articulates conditionality openness form underlying mechanisms for collaboration and, subsequently (open) outcomes. We discuss implications future research management spaces.
